Driffield Junior Tri - Swim Swim Various Distances

The Junior Triathlon kicks off with the swim in the modern Driffield swimming pool.

For some, this will be their first opportunity to take part in triathlon and it can seem a little daunting, but our support crew are there to help put the children at ease, so that they can enjoy and experience the fun atmosphere.

Our aim is to provide the same high standards that you would expect from any Freebird event, allowing children, no matter what standard they are, the ability to participate in this fun and exciting sport.

Once completed the swim, the children head back to the transition where they can pick up their bikes and begin the second part of their triathlon.

The entire bike route remains within the grounds of Driffield Sports Centre, making it a very safe circuit.
The majority of the bike course takes place on grass with a small section on tarmac. Made up of a number of laps depending on the age category, you will have plenty of opportunities to cheer on your children as they negotiate the route.
Our event photographer will be on the circuit capturing the special moments.

Back into transition and just the run to go. Again staying within the grounds of the sports centre, the run heads out onto the playing fields where the children will complete the final section of their triathlon.

Run entirely on grass, the multi lapped circuit allows the children the opportunity to pick up a drink on each lap if they wish to do so.

After completing their final lap they will pass under the finish gantry to the cheers from the many supporters watching the event.

Congratulations on completing the Driffield Junior Triathlon.
